Whenever I travel, I look for places that are unique and have a local flavor. Kroll’s has a great diner atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food that will satisfy your hunger and a great price. I ordered an omelet and added a side of bacon and a side of sausage. I did not expect the portion sizes to be so large. (Most places consider a “side” of bacon as two average sized pieces- Kroll’s “side” of bacon was more than twice that amount!) If you leave this place hungry, it’s your own fault!
This Diner did not disappoint. Have been wanting to go there for awhile and when we did, the place was packed and the food was great. There was a wait which is not surprising given the good food. I highly recommend you get a Kuchen! I had a rhubarb one and it was really good. Nice breakfast appetizer. Had an omelet with pancakes. Very good.
My boss and I were in town for a work trip and we decided to have breakfast here. So glad we did! We were immediately and warmly greeted as we walked in. Our server brought out piping hot coffee right after we were seated, which was great for the cold morning. The menu is classic diner fare on steroids! Lots of good choices, I went with the Chicken Fried Steak omlette and it was delicious. We'll definitely be back on the next visit!
This place feels like it's right out of a movie. Super retro dinner experience. There is a huge menu and the portion sizes are big. You absolutely get your money's worth. The milkshakes are big and delicious. The staff was kind and the service was quick, even with a group of 9. An absolute must try!
Travel worker! I really liked this diner. My server Makiyah was vibrant with colorful clips in her hair and very attentive. I had the cabbage roll dinner. Was it the best cabbage roll in the world…who knows I’ve never been to Germany. But for $15.00 and generous portions I thought it was pretty damn tasty. Mashed potatoes and corn with it really hit the spot. I liked their signature knoephla soup…buttery, salt and brothy. I was not too in love with the rhubarb caramel roll. It wasn’t a texture or taste I enjoyed…but I’m sure people do love it. (I’d opt for a shake next time they had so many options or classic ice cream soda.)
An excellent place with good food and a great atmosphere. The milkshakes are delicious; we’ll be back to try more of their dishes. The service was extraordinary—highly recommended.

We loved the old diner set up and the service was excellent and it matched the food that was excellent as well. I’m from Guatemala but love me a good old American burger. That being said I noticed German food options and I’m adventurous, so I ordered multiple German items for dinner and a dessert to top it off. I can’t pronounce them so here are some pics. We would definitely go there again when we are in Fargo ND
Classic diner experience with perfect mix of American and local fair. I had to go for the Knoephla soup and fleishkuchle - both were excellent. Very heart and filling. Service was lightning quick, the vibe was positive, and my server was joyful. A great experience and I hope to come back!
